Best PS4 Games of All Time Worth Playing Right Now – Top 15 PS4 Games

These are the top 15 PS4 games throughout the years that are worth buying and playing. This top 15 PS4 games list includes some collection sets, remastered games, and reboots. This list has PS4 games that would be expected but may exclude games that some people think should have been included. Some people may think a remastered game all the way from GameCube, PS2, or PS3 will not count but to give the list more substance and because they are high quality games, they are included. This list is in no particular order. All of these PS4 games are considered good enough for this list.

          Resident Evil 2 Remake (2019)

Resident Evil 2

The original Resident Evil 2 is regarded by many as the best game in the Resident Evil series. People have been waiting years for updates on the remake of Resident Evil 2. The development team finally got the go and people were finally about to get a remake of one of the best games. The results turned out pretty good and most people were satisfied. They did a lot of things right compared to anything that was off. It’s still safe to say this was a successful remake which is why it deserves to be on the list.

                        Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4

For a lot of people Resident Evil 4 needs no introduction. It was a game released in 2005 for the GameCube. It won game of the year awards and since then has had a lot of influence on other titles. It was released for the GameCube, WI, PC, PS2, PS3, and now PS4. They even had a version that was released for mobile phones which of course was not the same but still cool to see. Leon is a special agent who is assigned to rescue the presidents daughter (by himself with a handgun) from an evil cult who wants world domination. Aside from the obvious joke, if you’ve never played the game and decide to, you may find out why Leon Scott Kennedy can do it all by himself. There are a lot of fans from the earlier Resident Evils who weren’t so happy about the turn that Resident Evil 4 took, which used an over the shoulder camera angle and mixed the horror with more action.

                        Resident Evil 5

Resident Evil 5

After Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5 went even more into the direction of being an action based game and not horror. With that said, they still did a good job including iconic characters from the Resident Evil series including Albert Wesker who is said to be the best version of Wesker from the series. Some may have their opinion but Resident Evil 5 is still considered a hit with a solid story and game play which is why it makes this list. Unfortunately anything past Resident Evil 5 did not make this list. This doesn’t mean they are bad games they just don’t have as much substance that I would like for this list.

             Devil May Cry HD Collection

Devil May Cry HD Collection

The Devil May Cry games are some of the best games released for PS2 (minus the second one unfortunately). The collection set was released for PS3 and is now available for PS4. Dante is a demon hunter and throughout the games, has to face different kinds of threats including his brother Virgil from Devil May Cry 3. It is interesting to note that Devil May Cry and Resident Evil 4 were more or less the same game in early stages of development until Devil May Cry was created and expanded as a separate game.

                       Devil May Cry 5

Devil May Cry 5 Dante Nero and Virgil

Devil May Cry 5 includes Dante, Virgil, and Nero together for the first time. The game has good reviews and is a well made game. It takes place 5 years after the events of Devil May Cry 4. Dante, Virgil, and Nero must stop a powerful demon king named Urizen. The gameplay and graphics are some of the best that Devil May Cry has to offer.

                Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter as the name implies is a game about hunting monsters in different kinds of open worlds. It doesn’t really focus on much of a story as it does a setting, gameplay, and activities. Monster hunter is the best selling Capcom game to date. Resident Evil 5 used to hold that title until monster Hunter surpassed Resident Evil 5 with the amount of copies sold. Monster hunter definitely makes this list and it recommended. A lot of people think monster hunter is great but there are those who may not find it as appealing since it somewhat lacks an in depth story. Feel free to look up scenes and gameplay online before thinking about buying the game.

                           Bloodborne

Bloodbourne

Bloodborne is a third person action role playing game with some elements of horror included. A lot of people say that Resident Evil 4 and mostly Dark Souls influenced the maps and graphic design which is the case with other games also.              Grand Theft Auto 5

Grand Theft Auto 5

Grand Theft Auto 5 first came out for the PS3. It has since then been remastered and is one of the best selling games ever made. They are still to this day updating the online content. At this time nothing is official for GTA 6 despite supposed leaks and rumors which are mostly created due to the anticipation of GTA 6. GTA 5 allows you to switch between 3 different characters named Michael, Trevor, and Franklin.

                Red Dead Redemption 2

Read Dead Redemption 2

While the first Red Dead Redemption was released for PS3, The second was released for PS4. For the small group of people who don’t know, Rock star is the development team behind Red Dead Redemption. Rock star is the same team who made all of the Grand Theft Autos and more. You play as an outlaw named Author Morgan who is a member of the Van Der Linde. The game follows the main enemy of Red Dead Redemption, John Marston.

                   Marvel’s Spiderman

Marvels Spiderman

Marvel’s Spiderman exclusive was well received by audiences. It is an open world game which does a good job of re creating New York City. Marvel’s Spiderman is inspired by the comic books where Mister negative seeks to control New York City’s underworld.

                         God of War 3

God of War 3

Unfortunately God of War 1 and 2 are only on PS now and a full collection set for PS4 was never made. God of War 3 was the only game remastered for the PS4 but because it was such a good iconic game at the time it makes this list. Kratos the ghost of Sparta takes revenge and hunts down all of the Gods and well, you can imagine what happens from there.

                           God of War

God of War

This is the new God of War which had a lot of good reviews. Kratos and his Son Artemis go on a journey throughout the Norse land. God of war is praised for one of the best games for PS4 and the second one is highly anticipated.

                        The Last Of Us

The Last Of Us

The last of us is a post apocalyptic kind of game where you play as the main character named Joel. The Last Of Us was remastered for the PS4. It is from the same group that makes Uncharted. The Last Of Us part 2 is currently being worked on and is going to be released on May 29th 2020.

             Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Uncharted 4

Uncharted 4 is the first Uncharted title released for PS4 not including the prior 3 remastered for PS4 (gameplay and graphics made using PS4 hardware). It definitely holds up and is just as impressive as the prior 3 for most. Uncharted 4: A thief’s end takes place 3 years later after drakes deception. Drake reunites with Samuel to find Captain Henry Avery’s legendary pirate treasure.

Of course everybody has their opinions and likes different kinds of games so with that said if you aren’t completely familiar with any of these titles feel free to look up gameplay and other reviews of the game.

Are Video Games Bad for Your Health? Video Game Side Effects

Are video games bad for your health? Video games are very popular and always have been but there could be negative side effects when gaming. Some people don’t play much video games and others spend countless hours playing GTA or Call of Duty online. Here are the things to consider while playing video games.

wp-image-1626260088

Violent behavior

Some studies claim that people who play violent video games can be more aggressive and accepting of violence. This should be taken lightly because it all depends on the persons age, history of any medical problems, and the type of scenarios in the video game they are playing. So yes video games can possibly make somebody more aggresive but underlying problems are likely the main cause and are otherwise fine for a healthy normal person. With that said most rated mature games are still inappropriate for young viewers.

Eyesight

Your eyes are very important so its no surprise that incorrect lighting and other factors can put strain on your eyes. When playing video games always use proper lighting to reduce glare. It is a good idea to take short breaks every so often also. The national institute of health actually proved that proved that action video games can enhance visual processing which lets gamers see things easier and clear. Video game therapy is also used to treat lazy eye.

Correct posture

If you often play video games it is important to use correct posture while sitting. Incorrect posture can lead to shoulder stiffness. It helps to have a comfortable chair or couch. Taking short breaks to avoid playing for long hours is a good idea.

Lack of activity and exercise

Some people can argue that video games are unproductive. This is true to an extent because long hours of playing every day can get in the way of other tasks and other activities. Video games can also make you loose track of time and interfere with your sleeping schedule which can be an issue for people who have to wake up early. If you already spend your free time staying up late watching tv and other leisurely activities then video games should be fine for you. However if you feel like video games are taking up valuable time then you may want to play less then you’re currently playing.

Triggering seizures

People with epilepsy should avoid playing video games or even viewing them. Unless cleared by a doctor, witch is unlikely, video games can trigger seizures in people with epilepsy. Most video games will have a warning displayed on the introduction screens when you first start playing.

With all this said, video games are safe as long as you use good judgement and take precaution.
