Changing the Wi-Fi channel on your router

Did you know that changing the Wi-Fi channel on your router can boost your signal and performance? This can be very helpfull for people who have a slow internet connection or for devices that aren’t so close to the router. Certain Wi-Fi channels work better in certain areas based off the level of interference. The most efficient Wi-Fi channels are 1, 6, and 11.

You can check the channel you’re on by logging into your router. Most routers use the address or to access the router. Simply type that into your browser url. It will ask for your username and password which you can almost always find on the side of the router. You can then configure the router and change the Wi-Fi channel according to your needs. This is simple to do however be carefull when adjusting router settings. Make sure you only ajust the channel settings and nothing else. Feel free to ask a tech savy friend if they’d be willing to help just to be safe. Go back and fourth between channels 1, 6, and 11 and see which one works the best for you.

Is an Alienware PC worth it?

Alienware is a pre built PC aimed at gaming. The esthetics may look nice and the system is powerfull but is the price tag worth it? Here we are going to take a closer look at alienware and see wether or not the price tag is worth it.

Alienware was founded in 1996 by Nelson Gonzalez and Alex Aquila. The headquarters is located in Florida. Alienware was purchased in 2006 by Dell. Alienware computers offer high performance hardware for gaming and sleek design cases. The reason why the price is so high is because of the design case and how it’s marketed towards gaming. Alienware may not be worth it because for a few hundred dollars less you can build your own PC and get similar performance or better. One important thing to mention is that you get a warranty from Dell when you purchase an Alienware PC which could make it worth it.

However If you have the money and don’t mind spending the extra money for the design and brand then go for it. For everybody else I suggest learning how to build your own PC. If you decide to build your own PC make sure you get professional assistance. Building your own PC can be dangerous if incompatible hardware is used together such as an incorrect power supply or other parts which can potentially cause a fire. This is very important to remember if deciding to build a PC.

So is Alienware worth the price tag? There is no definite answer and it is mostly opinion and wether or not you want to take the time to build your own own PC. There are also some pre built PCs around the same price tag as Alienware that can handle gaming so there is also that option as well. Make sure you check the hardware because some expensive PCs still don’t perform well with gaming.

Should you root your android?

Rooting your Android gives you full control over your device which can allow you to do things you normally wouldn’t be able to do on a non rooted Android. You can permanently delete system apps to free up memory, you can also overclock or underclock the CPU. This all sounds great but there are also disadvantages that come with rooting your Android phone. Here we are going to talk about wether rooting a phone is worth it or not and how it impacts the smartphone.

A rooted phone can become infected with malware alot easier than a nonrooted phone. This is because apps can now have root access to the phone which can leak alot of data. It’s recommended to use virus protection if you have a rooted phone. Be very carefull about what apps you download and what sites you visit. Something important to note is that rooted devices can’t follow through with updates on most newer smartphones.

Rooting your phone will void your warranty but if you don’t care about that then continue on. You can always unroot your phone but that may be a little annoying if you don’t know what your doing.

Bricked device

A bricked device is another way of saying that a phone has become unusable. If you don’t know what your doing, rooting a phone can brick your device if you aren’t carefull. If you are interested in rooting your phone and aren’t an expert or don’t know one then it’s recommended to use an old Android that you don’t really value much. This way if you do end up bricking the phone it’s not a huge loss.

So is rooting your Android worth it? It’s more of an opinion. Because of the high risk of malware and lack of updates on some phones I’d go with no, especially if somebody doesn’t really know what they’re doing.
